Terrorists from across the Afghanistan border area opened fire at a Pakistani border post in the Khyber Agency, injuring two Frontier Corps soldiers on Friday morning.
"Terrorists attacked the Pakistani border post in Khyber Agency from Afghanistan side this morning. Effectively responded. 2 FC soldiers injured. Reports of few Terrorists killed in exchange of fire," said Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan-Afghanistan border was closed with immediate effect due to security reasons hours after a bomb ripped through the Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine in Sehwan that has so far claimed at least 70 lives while dozens of others were wounded. The border will remain closed until further orders.
Torkham border connects Nangarhar province of Afghanistan with Pakistan's Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Pakistan on Friday summoned officials from Afghanistan embassy and handed down a list of 76 wanted terrorists to be handed over to Islamabad.
