The United Kashmir People's National Party (UKPNP) on Thursday extended its condolences to the family of late Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) activist Naheem Bhutt, who died in an incident of Pak-initiated police firing in Kashmir.

UKPNP exiled Chairman Sardar Shaukat Ali Kashmiri extended his support to Late Naheem Bhutt, while demanding to establish peace in Kashmir.

"I extend my support to the grieved family of late Naheem Bhutt and pray her to go to heaven. She spoke against the on-going conflict at Kashmir. She supported the demand for peace in Kashmir. She said that the people of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) do not want freedom but are adamant to fight."

He further extended support for the supporters of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF).

"(Elected Prime Minister of PoK) Naheem Raja Faarooq Haider said, fight for your right, why are you raising the flags for peace. He had a hatred towards peace. I support people who support the demand for peace.I support the JKLF supporters".

Kashmiri, along with former spokesman UKPNP Jamil Maqsood and various other members of the organisation, extended their condolences to Bhutt's family.

They condemned the March 16 incident and the atrocities committed by the Pakistan security forces.

They further demanded the matter to be brought to the notice of Inspector General Police from Pakistan and said to consult the international institutions to expose the role of Pakistan and its Lent officers.

Six people were injured in the March 16 firing, which was carried out on the peace march in Poonch. The march was taken out against the Pakistan-initiated cross-border firings.

Naeem Butt was also injured in the firing and was admitted to an Islamabad hospital.
