Ukraine has reportedly rejected a bid from a man calling himself Darth Vader, the famous character from the 'Star Wars' franchise, who wanted to run in the presidential elections.
He was nominated to stand for the presidency by the Internet Party of Ukraine.
According to the Mirror, he boldly pledged to single-handedly take responsibility for the fate of the country and to turn Ukraine into a 'galactic empire'.
According to the Mirror, Ukraine's Electoral Commission refused his candidacy because his identity could not be verified.
The commission said there was a possibility that some of Darth Vader's paperwork was forged while other parts were described as being 'questionable'.
Presidential elections are scheduled for May 25 in Ukraine reportedly under threat of a Russian invasion, the report added.
