Water Resources and River Development Minister, Uma Bharti met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday to express concern over the deteriorating situation of law and order in Uttar Pradesh.

"Along with the deteriorating condition of U.P. what is of more concern is the state government's approach towards it," said Bharti.

"The comments of the leaders of Samajwadi Party (SP) on such crimes also need to be taken into account because if the government itself is like that then what else could be expected from the police and the common people," she added.
