Pakistani cricketer Umar Akmal has said that it is the 'best knock' of his career as he scored 94 in Pakistan's victory over Australia by 16 runs in a high-scoring game in the World Twenty20.
The batsman struck nine fours and four sixes during his sixth half century and shared a 96-run third-wicket with his older brother Kamran Akmal, who scored 31.
According to the Dawn, Umar said that it is the 'best knock of his career', as it was important for Pakistan, which was under stress after losing their T20 opener to India, to win this match
Umar also said that he is thankful to the management for giving him the kind of 'free hand' to go out and express his abilities adding that he played his natural game and got rewarded with a 'good score'.
Pakistan won the match by 16 runs after scoring and intimidating 191-5 and then dismissing Australia for 175 in 20 overs, the report added.
