Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said 'Run for Unity' should be organised on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel on October 31,
Delivering his 36th 'Mann Ki Baat,' address, Modi said it should be organised in every city and town on a very large scale to promote the mantra of unity.
"Run for Unity events should be organised in all the cities across India. I sincerely request everyone, especially the youth, to experience unity in diversity in India," he added.
Modi said unity in diversity is India's specialty and citizens especially the youth should experience it for the development of their personality.
"Have you ever tried to experience India's diversity? I specially urge the youth to experience the diversity of our country, it will teach you a lot. I sincerely request everyone, especially the youth, to experience unity in diversity in India," he said.
"When you travel, do remember to carry forward the movement of Incredible India. Share your experiences, your pictures on incredible India. Write interesting accounts of the cultures of places you travel. Share it on Mygov and NarendraModiApp," he added.
Prime Minister shared his thoughts with the people in the country and abroad in All India Radio's 'Mann Ki Baat' programme, which is an apolitical and interactive broadcast focusing on welfare and well-being of the people, at 11 a.m. today.
