Taking potshots at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Janata Dal-United leader Ali Anwar on Thursday said he was unsure whether Prime Minister was 'a man of action' as mentioned by U.S. President Barack Obama or a 'man of reaction'.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi must have been very happy as Obama who once denied giving visa to this man, is calling him a man of action today, but I am unsure if he is a man of action or man of reaction," said Anwar.
Earlier, President Obama had praised Prime Minister Modi by referring to him as a 'man of action'. President Obama used the phrase during a gala dinner hosted for the leaders from with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and East Asia Summit (EAS) member countries.
"Prez Obama greets PM @narendramodi at Gala dinner - "You are a man of action!"," Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) official spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin tweeted.
