The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered five preliminary enquiries against unknown official of district administration and officials of the state mining department.
Illegal mining works is being carried out in five districts of Uttar Pradesh which includes Shamli, Hamirpur, Fatehpur, Siddharth Nagar and Deoria.
The CBI has sent a team to investigate the entire illegal mining.
The Allahabad High Court had directed the CBI last year to probe illegal mining works of the five districts.
