Uttar Pradesh Police on Tuesday arrested seven people and busted illegal arms manufacturing unit here.
Senior Superintendent of Police Salav Mathur said a huge cache of weapons were recovered from them.
"Seven people have been arrested. Eight country-made pistols of 315 bore, one two-barrel rifle, four empty cartridges and huge cache of illegal arms manufacturing tools have been recovered," he said.
Mathur added that the kingpin of illegal arms racket was on the run.
The police have launched a manhunt to arrest the kingpin.
