A US aircraft carrier has been sent to join other American ships to block any Iranian shipments to the Houthi rebels battling in Yemen.

According to Fox News, the US Navy has increased its presence in the Gulf of Aden and the southern Arabian Sea following reports of a convoy of eight Iranian ships heading toward Yemen and possibly carrying arms for the Houthis.

Crisis in Yemen is escalating while the five world powers and the US are yet to reach an agreement on the Iran nuclear deal by the end of June.

The fighting in Yemen is getting more complicated as U.S. ally Saudi Arabia is leading a coalition against the Iran-backed rebels.
