An US company has reportedly created a colouring book, which claims to 'tell the truth about terrorists' and contains images criticising and spoofing Osama bin Laden and Rolling Stone magazine's controversial cover on Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
According to Fox News, the book, titled 'LEARN about Terrorism' was made by Really Big Coloring Books company and is included as a supplement with two of the company's 'We Shall Never Forget 9/11' titles.
The report further said that one of the coloring book's pages, titled 'Rock Him and Stone Him', satirizes Rolling Stone's Tsarnaev cover, calling Tsarnaev as the 'Scum of the Earth' and having a line 'NOT the face of a rock star'.
Another image shows a shark and some crabs mocking 9/11 mastermind Osama bin Laden after his burial at sea and calls him as 'evil trash'.
Stating that 1,200 copies of the coloring book were sold in the first two days that they were available, publisher Wayne Bell said that the company produced the book after receiving thousands of phone calls and emails from customers and educators complaining about the Rolling Stone cover.
According to Bell, people complained about making Tsarnaev look like a rock star, adding that the company thought that the terrorist deserved the back cover of a colouring book.
Bell further said that the book targets adults and teachers looking to use it as a learning tool for children.
