US condemns IS' beheading of 30 Ethiopian Christians in Libya

The US has condemned the killing of 30 Ethiopian Christians in Libya by Islamic State (IS) militants who released a video showing the beheadings.

According to BBC, the video shows two groups of men, one group is beheaded on a beach and another group is shown being shot in the head in a desert.

The victims are believed to be Ethiopian Church members in Libya that is seized by IS militants.

Ethiopian Information Minister Redwan Hussein said that the government was trying to verify the nationality of the people shown in the video.

The video is similar to the earlier ones including the beheading of 21 Egyptian Christians in February.
