US State Department has dismissed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's plea to include clear recognition of his nation's "right to exist" in the Iran nuclear agreement, saying that the negotiations are "only about the nuclear issue".
According to Fox News, State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf said that the Iran nuclear agreement is only about the nuclear issue, indicating that the Obama administration is not looking to protect Israel's security into a final agreement.
She said that it was an agreement that does not deal with any other issues and that it should not either.
Harf suggested that the talks were complicated enough already.
Obama administration officials have insisted all along that their commitment to Israel's security is unwavering despite their public dismissal of Netanyahu over Iran deal framework.
