US drone strike kills at least 15 militants in Afghanistan

A U.S. drone strike has reportedly killed at least 15 militants of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan in Afghanistan's Gomal district on Wednesday.

Intelligence officials confirmed Wednesday's strike in an area bordering the South Waziristan region in Pakistan late on Friday.

They confirmed that the 15 insurgents belonged to the Gandapur faction of the TTP led by Mullah Fazlullah, who claimed responsibility for the massacre of more than 130 pupils at the Army Public School in Peshawar last December.
