The White House on Friday said that the United States must accept Syria's political reality and allow its citizens to decide the future of its President Bashar al-Assad.
As per CNN, while speaking at a press briefing, Press secretary Sean Spicer also accused the former president Barack Obama's administration of missing an opportunity to force Assad's ouster, adding now there is lack of options to force Assad to leave his office.
"There is a bit of political reality with respect to where we are now, and where we were in the last administration," said Spicer.
Spicer added that US goal in term of Syria is to defeat ISIS.
