The National Security Agency of the United States has reportedly been sanctioned to spy on many countries, political parties and international bodies, according to a classified document.
The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, under a 2010 certification, authorized NSA to spy on foreign factions, political organizations, 193 foreign governments and many other entities, the Express Tribune reports.
NSA was permitted to spy on 193 countries excluding only Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand due to their no-spying arrangements.
The reports revealed that the NSA was also encouraged to spy on foreign political parties- the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) from Pakistan. Amal movement of Lebanon, Bolivaria Continental Coordinator, Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood and te National Salvation Front were also included in NSA's list.
Apart from foreign organizations, political parties and governments, NSA was also sanctioned to spy on international bodies like the United Nations, the World Bank, the International Atomic Energy Agency, the International Monetary Fund and many others.
