The US State Department has reportedly said that there has not been any discussion of civilian nuclear technology with Pakistan.
US State Department, spokesman Patrick Ventrell said that US was aware of Pakistan's energy needs and wanted to help Islamabad overcome the energy crisis but said that there had been no discussion, The Dawn reports.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar had earlier said that Pakistan and US had agreed in principle to continue dialogue on cooperation in civil nuclear technology but he said that no timeline could be given for any agreement on the issue.
Welcoming Pakistan's interest in buying electricity from India Ventrell said that anything that improves relations between India and Pakistan is a good thing' and it includes cooperation in the energy sector as well, the report added.
