Actor Val Kilmer will be returning for the sequel of the 1986 classic, 'Top Gun'.
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the 58-year-old actor will reprise his iconic role of a skilled fighter pilot and beach volleyball player Tom Kazansky a.k.a. Iceman.
Tom Cruise will also be returning for the sequel.
In the film, Cruise and Kilmer played foe-turned-friends and became a hit pair after earning each other's respect.
Helmed by Joseph Kosinski of 'Oblivion' fame, the film will follow the struggle of fighter pilots getting used to drone technology.
The film is slated to hit theaters on July 12, 2019.
