Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Tuesday denied the knowledge of the documents which claim that she had backed former IPL chairman Lalit Modi's immigration application.
"I have always known the family, I have never denied that. I do not know what documents you people are talking about," Raje told ANI.
According to reports, the documents released by Lalit Modi's public relations team reveal that Vasundhra Raje had backed the former IPL chief's UK immigration application in August 2011 on the condition that her support would be kept a secret.
The BJP is in the middle of mammoth controversy after External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had on Sunday said she had taken a humanitarian view of Lalit Modi's case since his wife was suffering from cancer.
