Veteran actor Deven Verma passes away following cardiac arrest

Veteran comedian, actor, director and producer Deven Verma died following a heart attack and kidney failure, it has been revealed.

According to the family sources, Verma breathed his last around 2 a.m. at his home in Pune.

The 78-year-old actor is survived by his wife Rupa Ganguly, the younger daughter of the late legendary actor Ashok Kumar.

He is best remembered for roles in movies such as 'Angoor', 'Chori Mera Kaam', 'Andaz Apna Apna', 'Bemisal', 'Judaai', 'Dil To Paagal Hai', and 'Kora Kagaz'.

The funeral will be held at the Yerawada crematorium.
