Indian opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan turned 31 today and warm birthday wishes poured in from the cricket fraternity.
Former and current cricketers took to Twitter to wish the left-handed Indian batsman.
Former explosive Indian batsman Virender Sehwag continued his typical witty way to greet 'Gabbar' of the Indian cricket team. He called on Dhawan to do 'Bhoomi Poojan' in dressing room and 'Naagin Dance' on the pitch.
"Happy Birthday @SDhawan25. May you do Bhoomi Poojan in dressing room and Naagin Dance on pitch for at least 2 hours every time while batting," Sehwag wrote on Twitter.
Indian head coach and former skipper Anil Kumble tweeted, "! Happy birthday @SDhawan25! Hope the coming year is a wonderful one!"
Veteran batsman Gautam Gambhir also wished Dhawan for a great year ahead before insisting that he would like to see the opener score tons of runs in future.
"Wishing a wonderful birthday to my brother @SDhawan25! Enjoy your day! #ChakDeJatta!!," veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh tweeted.
Newly-wedded Yuvraj Singh also greeted Dhawan on his special occasion. He said, "Wishing jatt ji many happy returns of the day ?! God bless you gabbar @SDhawan25."
Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane were among others to extend their wishes.
Dhawan was ruled out of the Indian Test and ODI squads due to a thumb injury. He is currently playing in the Ranji Trophy to earn a berth for the national side.
The southpaw, who scored 187 on his Test debut against Australia in 2013, has played 23 Tests and 74 ODIs for India so far.
