Australian batsman Adam Voges has credited senior Australian all-rounder Shane Watson for giving advice to the mostly-young limited-overs team in India.
With regular captain Michael Clarke missing through injury and coach Darren Lehmann opting to remain in Australia, Watson and Brad Haddin are the two most experienced players on the tour.
According to News.com.au, Watson had mentored the players during training, and Voges said that he is grateful for the advice as along as both Watson and Haddin brought a 'wealth of experience' to the team, especially in India.
Meanwhile, Voges backed the one-day Australian team as being 'far more settled' as compared to the underperforming Test side, saying that he is confident that Australia can beat India in the one-day series, especially with their success in the ODIs against England just after the summer Ashes.
Voges further said that they also have a further incentive if they win the series against India as then they can topple India from the number one ODI spot and fix their place again in the spot.
