Vice President Hamid Ansari arrived here on Tuesday after concluding a three-day visit to Rwanda.
Vice President Ansari was welcomed by Minister of State for Regional Affairs Philemon Mateke and was also given a guard of honour at the VIP reception area.
During the visit, the Vice President will address the India-Uganda Business Forum and will also pay a floral tribute to the bust of Mahatma Gandhi at Jinja.
Uganda is the last leg of his five-day two-nation visit to East African countries.
The Vice President will be meeting his counterpart Edward Ssekandi and President of Uganda Yoweri Museveni.
The bilateral relations between India and Uganda are characterised by historical cultural linkages, extensive economic and trade interests, and a convergence on major bilateral and international issues.
