Australia's opening batsman David Warner has backed Virat Kohli to be a fantastic captain for India, as the star Indian batsman takes charge of the Test team following Mahendra Singh Dhoni's retirement from the long format of the game.

Warner, who is one of Kohli's biggest rivals in the sledging stakes this summer, said that the experience that Dhoni brings to the table probably gives the Australian's an edge, but added that the way Kohli is and the way he goes about the game, he's a fiery character but the Indian batsman goes out there and plays with his heart on his sleeve.

Warner claimed that that is the way Kohli always would play his cricket and believes that the Indian Test skipper is a fantastic cricketer, News.com.au reported.

The opener claimed that Kohli has a long career ahead of him, adding that he believes the Indian batsman would do a fantastic job. He said that it's early days yet as a Test captain, and he would like to see if Kohli comes out with the aggression that he did in the last Test, to see if he can do it as captain.

Moreover, former Zimbabwe batsman Duncan Fletcher would coach India for the last time in the fourth and final Test of the ongoing series at the SCG, having coached England to a five-nil defeat Down Under during the 2006/07 series and guided India to a four-nil loss in Australia in 2011/12.

Australia currently leads India two-nil in the four match series ahead of Tuesday's fourth and final Test at the SCG, the report added.
