WC hero Starc ruled out of first three weeks of IPL with knee strain

Mitchell Starc, the World Cup player of the tournament, has been ruled out of the upcoming Indian Premier League for the first three weeks due to a minor knee strain.

According to News.com.au, Cricket Australia want their premier fast bowler Starc in good shape before the commencement of the Ashes and the preceding tour of West Indies.

Starc, who was named the ICC's best one-day bowler following a stellar World Cup performance, will join the Royal Challengers Bangalore midway through the IPL tournament.
