Victor Moses put the tourists ahead in the sixth minute before striker Diafra Sakho doubled the lead for Manuel Pelligrini's side in the 31st minute, Sport24 reported.
Although Kevin De Bruyne pulled one back for City on the stroke of halftime, West Ham successfully defended their penalty area to deny the hosts an equaliser.
With the win, West Ham stretched their away win streak to three after defeating Arsenal and Liverpool earlier in the season.
West Ham are currently second in the table, three points below pace setters City.
