Aam Aadmi Party leader Prashant Bhushan, who was recently ousted from the party's top panel, on Tuesday said the whole truth about the matter will soon come out in front of the nation.

"Time has come for the country to know the whole truth about the matter and the truth will come out soon. It's good that those things which were being said through other people, allegations that were being made are now being openly made by some front line leaders of the party," said Bhushan.

"AAP was founded on high principles of transparency, accountability, inner party democracy and 'swaraj', and I will continue to fight for it," he added.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had earlier stated that three of its senior leaders-Shanti Bhushan, Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav-were working to ensure the party's defeat in the recently held assembly elections in Delhi, and therefore, this was justification enough to expel them from the Political Affairs Committee (PAC).

In a statement detailing the anti-party roles played by Prashant Bhushan, Shanti Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav, the AAP said, "During Delhi elections, three senior AAP leaders were working towards our defeat-Yogendra Yadav, Shanti Bhushan and Prashant Bhushan. Prashant Bhushan used to call up AAP leaders of other states and tried to convince them to not campaign in Delhi."

The statement further said, "Prashant Bhushan told AAP leaders: 'I won't campaign, you shouldn't either...Arvind needs to be taught a lesson.'"

"Prashant Bhushan tried to stop people from donating money to the AAP, and threatened to hold a press conference against the party," it added.

AAP leader Sanjay Singh said the the party came out with the statement to dispel the misconception of 'one sided action' against the ousted duo.
