Cardi B found out she has received five Grammy nominations in a rather unusual way.
The 'Bodak Yellow' rapper appeared in court on assault and reckless endangerment charges after a summons was issued in connection with a fight earlier this year at a strip club in Queens, New York, according to People magazine.
While she was just making her way out of the court, Cardi faced a number of reporters who asked how she felt about her nominations.
A surprised Cardi, in turn, asked, "I am? How many nominations?"
The 26-year-old stuck out her tongue and grinned from ear to ear upon hearing the good news.
Later, she took to social media to share the moment. "What a way to find out i got 5 Grammys nominations. I'm telling you my life is a movie. I work my ass off for this! Win or not atleast i know i had a chance and people was watching and admiring my work. Im Soo happy! THANK YOU!" Cardi wrote.
Cardi B, who announced her split from husband Offset this week, has been nominated for Album of the Year for Invasion of Privacy, Record of the Year for 'I Like It,' Rap Song of the Year for 'Bodak Yellow' and Rap Performance of the Year for 'Bodak Yellow.
