Will Ferrell's 'Elf' can give us Christmas feels any time of the year. And 15 years after the film's release, our favourite 'Buddy' has revealed the one scene that still makes him cry.

In a recent interview with Rotten Tomatoes, the 51-year-old opened up about one of the most emotional moments of the plot when towards the end, a crowd of people gather in Central Park and sing Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.

"I knew it was working at that moment where Buddy is in the back of the sleigh and everyone's singing in Central Park and there's enough Christmas spirit to get it lifted off, and he's waving goodbye," Ferrell shared, as reported by People magazine. "I'm like, Oh I can't let everyone see m cry here at my own movie.'"

Not just this, the actor also made another revelation that the iconic scene where Buddy shouts "Santa! I know him!" wasn't actually in the script - it was improvised.

"That was just my articulation of Buddy literally taking that piece of news at face value and [thinking] what would be his literal reaction," said the 'Anchorman' star. "A man without a country in this strange land finally getting to see someone he knows really well - it would be the most jubilant reaction ever.
