Two-time world champion Fernando Alonso has ruled out his retirement, saying he will quit Formula One until he gets the results he feels he deserves.

Alonso's beleaguered McLaren-Honda suffered more reliability problems to end pre-season testing on Friday. The electrical faults forced Alonso to break down twice and he was could just run 43 laps and he grabbed 11th position out of the 13 drivers.

The Spaniard broke down twice as electrical faults again restricted his running to just 43 laps and the 11th fastest time of 13 drivers.

"I want victories and podiums and if it all goes wrong, I will attack next year," Sport24 quoted Alonso as saying.

"It will give me more motivation to continue. I will not stop driving without a good result, which I think is what I deserve," he added.

The 35-year-old's contract with McLaren expires at the end of the season.

Alonso pointed out that the only problem they have is the power unit.

"There is no reliability and there is no power. We are 30 kilometres (per hour) down on the straight," he said.

Alonso, world champion in 2005 and 2006, said that he still feels he is a better driver than the likes of Hamilton and Vettel and what he needs is an engine that can run as fast as the others on the straight.
