William Hurt has dropped out of singer Gregg Allman's biopic, dubbed 'Midnight Rider', following the death of a camera assistant, Sarah Jones, in a train accident on set.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 64-year-old actor was cast as Allman in the Randall Miller-helmed movie which was being filmed on a trestle that crosses the Altamaha River in rural Georgia.
The Hollywood star had said earlier that a minute is not enough time to get the crew off the bridge.
Reports have also claimed that Jones' death could have been prevented if the filmmakers had paid heed to Hurt's warning.
