West Indies fast-bowling legend Courtney Walsh is reportedly set to join the Bangladesh cricket team as the new bowling coach.
According to ESPNcricinfo, Walsh has already signed a contract with the country that runs until the 2019 World Cup. He will succeed coach Heath Streak, who served the role for two years until May.
However, there is no official confirmation from either Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) or Walsh about the appointment.
If he joins, it will be Walsh's first major coaching role in international cricket since retiring from the game in 2001 as the leading wicket-taker in Tests.
However, the former West Indies skipper has worked as a cricket administrator in number of roles, including as the national team selector and mentored the Jamaica Tallawahs in the CPL.
Recently, Walsh has also served as part of the West Indies selection panel.
