Wishes pour in for Sachin Tendulkar as he celebrates his 44th birthday

Even after taking retirement from the game, Sachin Tendulkar captured the imagination of all cricket fans and he continues to do the same till date.

The Master Blaster turns 44 today and the social media has flooded with wishes for the 'God of Cricket'.

The entire cricketing fraternity took some time off their busy schedule and wished the little master on his special day.

Here are the wishes posted to Tendulkar on Twitter:

Former Indian cricketer, Mohammad Kaif tweeted, "Happy B'day to a man who has touched an emotional chord with a billion people, a part of our lives forever, @sachin_rt#HappyBirthdaySachin."

Veteran Australian wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist shared, "Happy birthday @sachin_rt and @bowlologist."

Former Australian skipper Michael Clarke took some time to wish Master Blaster on his birthday by writing, "Happy bday to the great @sachin_rt, 44 years young today. Hope you have a great day and year to come mate!"

International Cricket Council (ICC) also wished the highest run-getter in cricketing history and tweeted, "Most Test runs ever ??Most ODI runs ever ??Legend of the game ??Happy Birthday to the Little Master, @sachin_rt!"

Former Indian leg spinner and current Indian team head coach Anil Kumble wrote, "#HappyBirthdaySachin. One of the most inspiring sportsmen the world has seen. Hope you have a splendid year ahead @sachin_rt."

Virender Sehwag, in his usual quirky wished the master by sharing a throwback photo with alongside a funny message, "A rare occasion when one could have committed a crime,God ji sleeping. To a man who could stop time in India, #HappyBirthdaySachin @sachin_rt."

Tendulkar is the leading run-scorer in Tests and ODIs. He is the only cricketer to have hit 100 international centuries, and the first to score a double century in ODIs.

The Mumbaikar received India's highest civilian award Bharat Ratna in 2014. He is the youngest recipient to date and the first ever sportsperson to receive the award.
