With UNICEF support, Bangladesh PM launches Child Help Line 1098

A Child Help Line 1098 has been inaugurated by Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina through a video conference at Gono Bhaban in Dhaka today.

Social Welfare Department of the Ministry of Social Welfare will administer the Child Help Line (CHL) under its guidance, reports Dhak Tribune.

The helpline has been established with financial and technical support of the UNICEF.

It will offer protection against child abuses at homes, schools, workplaces, institutions and in public areas.
