A woman committed suicide on Sunday evening by jumping in front of the metro at the Yamuna Bank station.
The girl, in her mid-20s, was wandering aimlessly at the metro station for more than 10 minutes before jumping in front of a metro train at platform number three.
The girl's father alleged that she was about to get married soon but the groom called off the marriage because of dowry issues. He added that she was depressed due to this.
DCP Metro Jitendra Mani told ANI that the girl belonged to Allahabad and had boarded the train from Mandi house along with her family and was headed towards Ghaziabad.
"Her father's statement will be taken and then we will see what legal action can be taken," he added.
