A new study has revealed women and men are the same when it comes to cybersex addiction.

The researchers, who have explored the role of anticipating and receiving sexual gratification in the development of cybersex addiction, found that cybersex addiction in the study population of heterosexual female users is similar to that of heterosexual males.

The scientists added that although the study population was only limited to individuals under 30, this helps to advance their understanding of cybersex addiction in females.

The study was published in Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and Social Networking.
