President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday condemned the terrorist attack on a Paris-based magazine, adding that nationals across the world must unite to root out terror.
The official twitter handle of the Rashtrapati Bhavan shared the President's views on the incident.
"Strongly condemn the terrorist attack on media office in Paris; terror and violence have no place in any corner of world #PresidentMukherjee," it wrote.
"The world community must unite to root out terror from every country and society," it added.
Earlier in the day, gunmen entered the offices of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo and opened fire. According to reports, 12 people, including two police officers were killed in the attack, with five others seriously wounded.
Charlie Hebdo has reportedly been facing threats after it published a series of cartoon depicting Prophet Muhammad.
