TIRUN, the exclusive India representative of Royal Caribbean International announces the arrival of the world's newest smartship, Ovation of the Seas in India, in Kochi for her maiden call today.

This is also Asia's largest and the world's most technologically advanced, like her Quantum Class sister ships. After spending 2 days in Cochin the ship will sail to Singapore, giving their guests a travel experience of South East Asia. With Ovation coming to India, TIRUN makes elegant and best-in-class cruise travel all the more accessible for Indian cruise enthusiasts.

Cochin is the first Asian port-of-call for Ovation of the Seas and the ship is carrying 4,091 international guests here, the largest number onboard a cruise ship to date calling at an Indian port. A plaque and key ceremony was conducted onboard between Mr G. Senthilvel, Chairman of Cochin Port Trust and Mr V. Sajith Kumar, General Manager of JM Baxi & Co. with Captain Flemming Nielsen.

In addition, with Ovation of the Seas, local cruisers are given the option of segmented sailing. Guests have the flexibility to board the ship from Dubai and disembark at Cochin or board from Cochin and go all the way to Singapore on 6 and 8 night cruises respectively. With the added flexibility bundled in the segmented sailing, TIRUN is witnessing a steady rise in demand from cruise travellers.

The newest Quantum-class ship from Royal Caribbean is equipped with unprecedented offerings promising cruisers adventure activities, entertainment and dining options that will help them delight in cruise travel like never before. Featuring the same ground-breaking venues as its sister ships, Quantum of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas, Ovation will take the "WOW" factor to newer heights.

Speaking on the arrival of Ovation, Mrs Ratna Chadha, Chief Executive, TIRUN said, "We are continually striving to make the best and most extraordinary of ships accessible to Indian travellers. It has helped us inch a step closer towards our overall goal of imbuing more and more people in the country to consider cruise travel as an ideal vacation option."

She further added, "It's a great feat for India that the world's most technologically advanced ship will arrive here soon. The docking of the ship in Kochi is a testimony to India's emerging position as a destination of choice in global cruise travel. It also exemplifies the constant development in infrastructural facilities in the country which will further spur the number of ships that sail through our shores".

The recent released SOP by the ministry in conjunction with cruise steering committee has simplified process for the various cruise line touching the Indian shores along with the passengers boarding the cruise.

The ship has 18 distinct restaurants and has accommodation which includes interior staterooms with "virtual balconies" featuring large digital screens displaying real-time views. Ovation spans 18 decks, encompasses 168,666 gross registered tons, carries 4,905 guests at total occupancy and features 2091 staterooms.
