Change the tune, add some rap, give it a modern touch and here you have a re-hashed version of an old song!

Adding a remixed song in Bollywood films has become an extremely common trend but 2016 saw an overdose of it.

While some made us groove, there were a few who didn't strike the right cord.

Taking you down the memory lane, here's presenting a list of the 'recycled' tracks that we came across this year. Happy humming!

1. Laila Main Laila (Raees)

From Sunny Leone's sexy dance moves to Shah Rukh Khan's killer looks, the remixed version of Zeenat Aman's 'Laila Main Laila' has all the ingredients to make it to the top of the chartbuster.

2. Humma Humma (Ok Jaanu)

The recently-released single from the Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur-starrer 'OK Jaanu' is a rehashed version of the AR Rahman's 1995-hit "Humma humma" from Mani Ratnam's 'Bombay'. Sung by Bagchi and Jubin Nautiyal and featuring rapper Badshah, the track has been getting mixed feedback.

3. Kar Gai Chul (Kapoor & Sons)

Sung by Badshah and Neha Kakkar, this track has been a party anthem all through the year. It can instantly lift your mood and make you wanna dance all day long!

4. High Heels (Ki & Ka)

A remake of 'High Heels' of Yo Yo Honey Singh and Jaz Dhami hit track, this Meet Bros' version has surely been one of the best party songs of the year.

5. Ae Zindagi (Dear Zindagi)

Sung by Arijit Singh, the track is a soulful rendition of the much-loved song from 'Sadma' which was crooned by Suresh Wadkar. The track has definitely been loved by one and all.

6. Kala Chashma (Baar Baar Dekho)

While the flick failed to impress the audiences, its songs including this one have been a massive hit. Composed by the rap star Badshah, the groovy dance number is a rehash of a popular song from the 90's.

7. Har Kisi Ko Nahin Milta (Boss)

The number, sung by Arijit Singh and Neeti Mohan, was termed as a 'deformed' version of the 1986-'Jaanbaaz' song, which had Sridevi and Feroz Khan doing their thing with elan.

8. Tumhein Apna Banane Ki (Hate Story 3)

Starring Sharman Joshi and Zareen Khan, the makers of 'Hate Story 3' rehashed Tumhe Apna Banane Ki from 'Sadak' (1991) which failed to create any sensation.
