Zac Efron's latest hairstyle is raising some eyebrows!
The 'Greatest Showman' actor debuted his new dreadlocks on Instagram on Thursday with the caption 'Just for fun', which later provoked people online to call him out for appropriating black culture without respecting its origin or significance.
Comments on Instagram ranged from 'it's his hair and his body' to one saying he started a 'race war.'
Twitter users also continued the discussion on cultural appropriation, an accusation that has also been levelled against Justin Bieber for his dreadlocks, Miley Cyrus for her twerking and Kylie Jenner for her cornrows.
A user wrote, "putting my money where my mouth is and this is hard for me to say (trust me)
But Zac Efron is cancelled. I have to find a new boo now. "
Another user wrote, "WHY DOES ZAC EFRON HAVE DREADS "JUST FOR FUN" BABE DONT DO THIS TO YOURSELF."
"If I could unsee anything I've ever seen in my entire life, I'd unsee the photo of Zac Efron with dreads that just popped up on my timeline," wrote another fan.
