2014 Tata Indigo emax and Indica emax launched in India

Tata Motors, India's leading carmaker has launched the two new models to its CNG portfolio - Tata Indigo emax and Tata Indica emax. The company showcased its emax range at the Horizonext event in June 2013. The Nano emax has already been launched in the Indian market. These two new models have been introduced in 6 markets across India and will now be available in Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Tripura.

The new CNG range is powered by fuel efficient engine, with CNG and Petrol bi-fuel system options. Both vehicles have a low carbon footprint of 0.251 g/km and 0.338 g/km, respectively. The Indica emax delivers 23.7 km/kg of mileage, while the Indigo emax gives 24.6 km/kg of mileage.

Tata Indigo emax is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that churns out a maximum power output of 65bhp. The petrol-CNG engine returns an amazing fuel efficiency figure of 24.6km/kg and an additional range of upto 230km in CNG over 650km in petrol. The Tata Indigo emax price range starts at Rs. 4.99 Lakhsand goes upto Rs 5.27 Lakh, ex-showroom Delhi, for the Indigo GLS and Indigo GLX, respectively. Tata Indica emax delivers better torque, good fuel efficiency of 23.7km/kg & an additional range of 230 kilometres in CNG over 600km in petrol. The Tata Indica emax price range starts at Rs.3.99 Lakhs and goes upto Rs 4.26 Lakh, ex-showroom Delhi, for the Tata Indica GLS and Tata Indica GLX, respectively.
