2015 Figo compact sedan fully revealed; EcoSport paving ways for nex-gen Figo duo

Figo put Ford India into mainstream while the EcoSport is creating a whole new history for the American manufacturer. In the May 2014 sales EcoSport surpasses Scorpio and Duster in sales, Scorpio was topping the charts form quite few months. While EcoSport is giving momentum to the sales, the updated Fiesta, which is about to enter the market, will pump up the numbers for sure. We are expecting that this time the positing and pricing of the Fiesta will be apt like they did with EcoSport. 

Apart from all this, the manufacturer is majorly focusing on the next generation Figo and compact sedan based on the same, which will be the stepping stone of Ford's number game in India. Just like the EcoSport, Brazil will be the first country to get the KA and KA+ (nex-gen Figo duo are known as KA & KA+ in Brazil) before India, while we have to wait till next year. Lot of things are happing currently in Ford, lets roll you through it. 

Figo compact sedan fully revealed 

Couple of days ago company teased the compact sedan online, now Ford Brazil has completely revealed the upcoming compact sedan. Need not to mention, the sedan which will be sold in India will be sub-4m to take benefit from the excise duty relaxation while the one in Brazil is a tad over 4m. 

Speaking of the design, the vehicle adorn the Ford's kinetic styling and it certainly stick true to the concept that the company showcased at the Auto expo. Though, the sedan and hatchback shares the faces, but the sedan looks more premium while the hatch has a sporty appeal.

Though, they are identical but the sedan features a chrome slated grille, which the concept was flaunting, while the hatch ditches the chrome slates for a honey combed one.  

As the time passes, cars in this chop-shop sub-4m segment are looking pleasing compared the first generation Dzire. The baby sedans like Honda Amaze, upcoming Tata Zest and this Figo based compact sedan, these are certainly the best looking examples in this segment. 

The new Figo duo is expected to receive the goodies from the Ecosport like SYNC powered audio system, Ford's Emergency Assist, AppLink connectivity, etc.  

Bookings open for the EcoSport     

Bookings for the EcoSport are now open. Moreover, in past couple of months the sales of the compact SUV has steadily increasing, since Ford India increased the production of the EcoSport at their manufacturing facility. Recently, the company also introduces day time running LEDs as an accessory for the EcoSport. The signature LED tail lamps are available at a price of INR 14,000.
