Today, online is the route to take if you want to sell anything and that includes your car. With so many websites popping up daily for online shopping, so do the buyers and the choices. And this is here where you have to think of better ways to be on the top to sell your car. To get you motivated, we have listed some tips to simplify the whole process to sell your car more efficiently.

Showcase your car

Whatever be the product, people would want to see it first before anything. To sell your car online, you need to showcase it with pictures on the website. The more the better. Cover all the angles of the exterior of the car. The same goes for the interiors as well. If you have fitted the car with good audio systems or a GPS device or leather seats, highlight them.

Price your car right

Research on what price range is your car model going up in the market. Pricing your car in the right price bracket will bring in more inquiries and hits on your post. To determine the right asking price for your car, you first have to find out what others are asking for similar cars. Visit websites, used car dealerships or ask your friends. Also, you need to consider several factors like the age of the vehicle, kilometers in the odo, body and interior condition etc. to be more accurate on the asking price.

Give more information

If you visit some of the websites that sell used cars, you would observe that some posts have more information about the car while some just have a line. Always give more information about your car and that includes the scratches and dents too. If you have changed anything - the tyres, seat covers, engine oil or anything - include that also. Always come clean. It helps more than you think.

Get the paper work straight

As much as you advertise your car to be a good catch, it’s only as good as the papers. Do have the registration certificate, insurance documents and service history handy and updated. If you have renewed the insurance, don’t fail to mention that in the posting. Having the service history will also bring in more customers because it shows how the car has been maintained well.

Be ready to negotiate

If you are in the selling business, bargaining is a must. Obviously, people will want to negotiate the price. And obviously you know that and listed the priced accordingly. So, be flexible in the bargains. Don’t start negotiating until the prospective buyers see the car. If the buyer has seen the car and drives it, you would be in a better position to start negotiating. If the offer you get is well below your asking price, you can hold firm or make a counteroffer and meet him or her halfway or slightly higher than the offer.

Finalize and finish the deal

Finally, if both of you come to a deal, get the deal finished and all the paper work done at the earliest. The name transfer and other formalities will have to be finished soon because if it isn’t and the buyer gets into any problem with the car like an accident, it’s your name that will roll.
Be cautious of the interested buyers and be intuitive about them. If the buyer seem to be pushy or shady, better look for another one.
