Chevrolet Beat Facelift officially launched at Auto Expo'14

General Motors introduces the much anticipated Beat facelift at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. The Beat hatch was earlier launched in petrol version in 2010, and the following year observed the launch of its diesel powered variant. The journey has been just three years long for this particular vehicles, and in order to maintain the freshness of it, the company brings the upgraded Beat in 2014.

The same facelift version of Beat was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show'13, which now also is available in several European market. The upgrades are mainly focused over its exteriors which includes new front bumper, redesigned grille and fog lamps. To make it look more sportier, the vehicle also gets new set of alloy wheels and revised rear spoiler. While inside the car, the changes are not much, while has been kept limited with few cosmetic updates at the center console and new upholstery seats. Moreover, the Beat facelift also has a central rear height-adjustable headrest.

Under the hood, the facelift beat comes loaded with the same engine configurations- a 1.2-liter petrol (also available with LPG) and the 1.0-liter diesel engine. While the petrol mill churns out a maximum power output of 79.4bhp and 108Nm of torque, the diesel powertrain develops 57.6bhp of top power and 150Nm of top torque. These engines are combined with a five-speed manual transmission gearbox, which transmits power to front wheels of the car.
