Fiat Abarth Punto Evo is all set to launch tomorrow. Fiat sure isn’t pulling its punches, when it comes to the pricing of its upcoming and highly anticipated offering, the Fiat Abarth Punto Evo. The car is the latest offering from the Italian automaker and is the second offering from the company’s performance brand Abarth for the country, following the Competizione 595. It was expected that the car will feature a 1.4 liter turbocharged engine( which it does) that produces 114bhp, but Fiat blew our expectations out of proportion by tweaking the engine to belt out 145bhp and 212Nm of torque.

The car will tread on 16 inch scorpion pincer alloys, which will come coupled to disc brakes on all four corners. The car will also feature a re-worked suspension setup and a ride height, which has been reduced by 20mm. The aesthetic updates for the new Abarth Punto Evo will include, sporty decals, racing stripes, contrasting color schemes, Abarth logo and badging. The interior will also be kept in sync with the exteriors and will feature an all-black sporty color scheme. The scorpion Abarth logo will be replacing Fiat logos on the car. The car will be priced close to Rs. 10 lacs and has been available in select dealerships around the country, like New Delhi for test drives. The car will face heavy competition from the recently launched Ford Figo, which offers its top-of-the-range Titanium 1.5 liter petrol variant at Rs. 6.9 lacs (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The Figo also produces an impressive 111bhp and unlike Figo, Abarth Punto Evo will not feature an automatic transmission but a 5-speed manual.
