Figo Aspire Sedan to be Launched on 12th August

Ford India has planned to launch the much-awaited Figo Aspire compact sedan next week. According to reports, the automaker will be launching this under 4-meter car on 12th of August. The company already kicked-off the pre-launch booking process on 27th July, 2015 with an upfront payment of Rs. 30,000. Figo Aspire will be locking horns with Swift DZire, Honda Amaze, Tata Zest and others in the segment.

The car is backed by some of the eye-catching features that makes it a tempting product in the category. It is based on Ford’s Kinetic design philosophy with Aston Martin styled grille similar to that of Ford Fiesta. It will come loaded with standard dual airbags and 6-airbags in top model, SYNC infotainment unit with Ford AppLink,  MyFord Dock for charging and docking smartphones, Ford Mykey, etc.

Under the hood, Ford Figo Aspire will be offered in variety of engine options. The compact sedan will come with two Ti-VCT petrol engines; the 1.2 liter 88PS motor and the range-topping 1.5-liter mill that makes 112PS. The 1.2-liter engine is mated to 5-speed manual transmission while the powerful 1.5- litre will be paired to segment first 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. On mileage front, the petrol and diesel variants will return 18.2kmpl and 25.8kmpl respectively, which was quite necessary seeing the competition in the class.

Figo Aspire is expected to be priced in between Rs. 5.5 and 8.5 lac in India and will be launched in 4 trim levels viz. Ambient, Trend, Titanium and Titanium+.
