Ford Figo Aspire: Technical Specifications Revealed

Figo Aspire sports the uprated version of 1.5L TDCI making it the torquiest compact sedan in the segment with 215 Nm of torque and 100 PS of power. It also features the most powerful petrol with 112 PS and 136 Nm mated to segment first 6-speed dual-clutch automatic.  

Ford has revealed the technical specification and features of the upcoming compact sedan - Figo Aspire. The vehicle will come in 3-engine and two transmission options that include first-in-segment 6-speed dual-clutch automatic. It will go on sale next month and is based on the second generation Figo hatchback which will be launched soon after its debut. The Aspire will target majorly with the Swift Dzire along with Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and Tata Zest.   

Aspire gets segment-first standard dual front airbags while top variant gets another first-in-class 6-airbags including side and curtain!

Engine Options

• It gets a new 1.2-liter Ti-VCT, it is indeed a heavily modified version of the Figo 1.2 Duratec motor. The 4-cylinder block gets independent variable valve timing for both intake and exhaust valve; the motor now generates 88 PS @ 6300 rpm and 112 Nm @ 4000 rpm of peak torque and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission
• The 1.5-liter TDCi from EcoSport and Fiesta gets a 10 PS power bump in Aspire, the oil burner now generates 100 PS @ 3750 rpm and class leading torque of 215 Nm @ 1750 - 3000 rpm of torque; power is sent to a 5-speed manual gearbox returning an impressive 25.83 kmpl
• The range topping petrol is the 1.5-liter Ti-VCT from EcoSport, generating 112 PS @ 6300 rpm and 136 Nm @ 4250 rpm of max twist in Aspire, making it the most powerful petrol in the segment coupled with a segment-first 6-Speed dual clutch automatic
