Genesis, the premium brand of Korean automaker Hyundai has showcased its G90 luxury sedan at the ongoing 2016 Indian Auto Expo.The luxury sedan will rival the likes of Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7-Series, Audi A8 and the recently launched Jaguar XJ. Genesis G90 incorporates substantial inspiration from the Vision G Coupe concept. Speaking of the aesthetics, G90 features a unique rendition of the single frame grill, which was made popular by the cars in German automaker Audi’s lineup. The single frame grill incorporates sizeable chrome accents, all the way down to front bumpers, which flaunt LED DRLs. Other aesthetic highlights include swept-back headlamps up front, which form a premium symmetry with the sleek, single-line LED tail-lamps at the back.
Also showcased at the rear are the dual exhausts, which are integrated into the rear bumper. Accents common to both front and rear ends of the car are the chrome inserts, which are incorporated in both of the bumpers and similar chrome inserts can also be spotted on the window line.
The luxurious touches continue on the interiors as well. The car comfortably seats four and compromises the 5th seat for a center console that runs through the length of the cabin. Seats and panels inside the cabin are draped in leather and flaunt organic accents like metal and wooden finishes. Adding to the creature comforts, the occupants get a will also get a 12.3-inch infotainment system, which comes mated to a Lexicon sound system. To ensure the passengers are comfortable, the G90 features electrically adjustable seats, which features 9.2-inch independent displays at the back of the headrests. The air conditioning duties are undertaken by a three-zone climate control systems.
Under the hood, this luxurious sedan is powered by a range of engine options, which includes the monstrous range topping 5.0-litre V8, which produces 419 bhp, a twin-turbo V6 that belts out 365 bhp and a naturally aspirated 3.8-litre V6 capable of delivering 329 bhp.
