Honda’s much awaited compact SUV, the BR-V will be showcased at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo. It is based on the same platform as the Amaze, Brio and the Mobilio but Honda’s design team have given it a very upright and raised stance which makes it look like a buffed up cross-over.
Honda City and Mobilio recalled -
It is expected to come with a 1.5-litre diesel engine, as seen in the Amaze, Mobilio and the City and will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission producing similar power and torque figures as well. Mileage figures are expected to be over 20 kmpl for the diesel engine. A CVT automatic gearbox is also highly anticipated in the BR-V which will use Honda’s Earth Dreams technology.
Honda BR-V features video-
Along with the BR-V, Honda’s premium sedan, the Accord will also make an official comeback at the Auto Expo. It will be powered by petrol (2.4-liter i-VTEC motor) and hybrid powertrains which will put it in direct competition with the Toyota Camry Hybrid. We can expect the car to be loaded on the inside with a 7-inch touch screen infotainment system which will be compatible with Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto.
