Couple of months back, Honda launched the Amaze compact sedan in India, and recently introduced the vehicle in Nepal and Thailand markets, where car has been getting excellent response. The vehicle brought back the Japanese auto maker in competition, and now the company is aiming to launch the vehicle in the Chinese market as well. Recently, few of the patent drawings of the China spec Amaze has been leaked out, which seems quite similar to that of the Indian and Thailand one.
It is also expected that the China spec Amaze will be longer and have more rear seat space, and it will only be offered with the petrol engine. The petrol motor is likely to remain the same, the 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine that develops 87bhp and 109Nm of top torque, and will be coupled to a five-speed manual or a five speed automatic.
Moreover, Honda is also expected to manufacture the Amaze compact sedan locally at their plant in Guangdong province. For instance, the manufacturing unit is developing the Accord, City, Jazz and others. If the Amaze makes its way to China, then it will be the company's smallest sedan launched in the Chinese market.
It has been about three months since Honda Amaze launched in India, and has been doing excellent for the Japanese carmaker. In India, the Amaze is available in both petrol and diesel guise, and it is the country's most fuel efficient car.
